Ms. Moses

Greetings! I'm Ms. Moses.. nice to meet you. here's a bit about me...

Greetings! I have been working in the DeSoto school district as a teacher and coach for eleven years, and am looking forward to beginning my 17th year as an educator. I graduated from Anderson University  in 1999 with my degree in social studies secondary education. I went on in 2001 to earn my Master's degree and certification in Special Education K-12 at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and have worked in that field subsequently. Since that time I have also completely my Master's and Educational Specialist degrees in Educational Administration, and plan to finalize a Master's degree in School Counseling in the Spring of 2016, all from Missouri Baptist
University.
My instructional philosophy: I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. We must help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. As a teacher it is essential to assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating. Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, it is essential to teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful.
